The objective

Gravity Game Tech wanted to test the effectiveness of using all female influencers to promote the Ragnarok Online Class patch updates and increase in-app purchase while keeping its cost per install low.

GGT engaged female influencers (PuddingKat, TimTimChannel and DDearChannel) to create intriguing character-based video content for digital campaign and was careful to choose influencers with followings that matched the game’s target audience, which helped expand its pool of gamers.

Throughout the video, the influencers dressed up and demonstrated the game’s characters and features humorously, piquing the interest of mobile game players who had yet to upgrade.

To spread the words, the influencers posted teaser videos showcasing ‘Extended Class’ graphics, storyline, and unique character elements. Teasers were shared on influencer’s Facebook and YouTube pages and GGT owned Ragnarok Gravity Thailand page, generating initial buzz and curiosity.

Trio of influencers’ engagement with their audiences led to active buzz and positive reviews, enhancing the minor update’s credibility.

The online campaign significantly contributed to the successful launch of ‘Extended Class: Limit Break Max Level 185,’ resulting in increased visibility, high user engagement, and a substantial surge in downloads.

Overall, the strategy of leveraging female influencers with a strong and diverse gaming audience proved highly effective in achieving Ragnarok Online Class 3 update goals.

The campaign generated a significant increase in social media interactions (including likes, shares and comments) while achieved 20% lower CPI from ads with influencers compared to other ads.
